The Workplace Wellbeing Framework
Our 6 steps to success

Originally designed to tackle complex public health problems such as smoking and vaccine uptake, we apply this 6-step approach to focus on the deeper drivers of wellbeing: culture, systems, leadership, and everyday working practices.

Step 1: Understand the problem
Focus on specific areas of concern in your organisation and the causal factors.

Step 4: Action plan
Design the details of your programme and how they relate to the desired outcomes.

Step 2: Identify modifiable factors
Identify which causal factors are within your power to change.

Step 5: Test and adapt
Test your programme, remain flexible, and adapt it based on real-life feedback.

Step 3: Develop a road map
Outline pathways from modifiable factors to desired wellbeing and performance outcomes.

Step 6: Evaluate
Identify what success looks like, for whom, and under what circumstances.
